Earlier this week we noticed a discrepancy with the number of votes counted for RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Innerbloom. We observed that it was obtaining many votes through images posted to social networks, but they were not being counted on our website.
We have identified that the issue was that the ABC have made an edit to the shortlist data provided for voting. Previously RÜFÜS was used as the artist name, but has recently been updated to RÜFÜS DU SOL.
Due to this, votes that were cast after the update of the data were not being matched as our pipeline was looking for RÜFÜS, and did not match RÜFÜS DU SOL.
We have since corrected this issue, and are now counting votes for both RÜFÜS and RÜFÜS DU SOL.
The prediction list now reflects the change, pushing Innerbloom up to 4th place at the time of writing
